STEDAIR® 4000 is a premium ePTFE moisture barrier that meets the requirements of NFPA 1971-2000 edition.
The product, along with all of our other moisture barriers, is assembled in our IBM Certified Clean Room. The Clean Room provides an environment that enables Stedfast to consistently deliver the best possible product to the fire service industry.
Stedair® 4000 is in the process of being triple certified for NFPA 1971 (already certified to this standard), NFPA 1999 EMS and NFPA 1951 USAR. The THL performance on the Stedair 4000 is the most outstanding feature of this moisture barrier.
The Stedair® 4000 consists of a Tri-component moisture barrier constructed using a 3.2 oz/yd2 woven Nomex containing 2% carbon fibers, laminated to a membrane comprised of an expanded PTFE matrix combined to a continuous hydrophilic and oliophoebic polymer layer.
The Stedair® 4000 moisture barrier meets and exceeds all requirements of NFPA 1971-2000 edition and provides excellent total heat loss (THL) and thermal protective performance (TPP).
