On November 3, 2007, the Chamber of Commerce Haute Yamaska honored regional businesses at its 24th Gala “Grand Prix Distinction” held at Château Bromont. This ceremony acknowledges entrepreneurs that distinguish themselves with their innovative accomplishments.

The grand prize was awarded to Stedfast Inc.

Stedfast was also awarded the prize in the 40 employees plus category.

This was Stedfast’s first participation in this prestigious event.

Stedfast is very pleased to announce the strategic acquisition of the operational assets of the Performance Fabrics business of the Donaldson Membranes Division of Donaldson Company, Inc. This establishes Stedfast as a Berry compliant supplier for the US military and further strengthens Stedfast’s well established position in the global First Responder market.

Uses for textiles are no longer restricted to clothing and curtains, as demonstrated at the seventh annual Expo Hightex. The Expo showcases industry innovations. Robert Kellock, president of the Expo Hightex 2007 organizing committee said the new hightech applications of technical textiles bring added value and the yearly event allows Canadian researchers and manufacturers to meet contractors and users to present their latest innovations.

Celebrated on the first Sunday of June, Canadian Forces Day offers an opportunity for Canadians to recognize CF members’ contributions to peace and security at home and abroad.

It was on June 6th, 1944 that Allied Forces landed in France in what would be the largest amphibious landing in history.

Stedfast salutes the men and women of the Canadian Forces, both past and present, for their contributions to our freedom and the freedom of peoples around the world.

Stedfast Inc., in partnership with The Textiles Human Resources Council (THRC), won the Conference Board of Canada's Excellence in Workplace Literacy award for small business. The award recognized the Skills and Learning Site Initiative developed by THRC and implemented by Stedfast in its Granby, Quebec operation.

The Conference Board presented Stedfast a trophy during its national Workplace Education and Learning conference. Stedfast was also featured in the Conference Board's Business Education IdeaBook.
